Here at The Grange we all make choices to be greener, we are all passionate about caring for our business and the environment around us. We switched to using brown paper bags two years ago and have not used a plastic one since! this is an area Kerry (pictured above) is extremly passionate about. She introduced the paper bags as both she and the rest of the team hate the over use of plastic carrier bags and the impact they have on the environment
Other things The Grange do ‘green’ are paper, card, plastic and glass re-cycling, we re-cycle our ink cartridges with profits going to childline. Customers are welcome to bring in their ink cartridges and we will pop them in the re-cycle box, their is also a large red wheelie bin located in the car park for staff and customers to fill with old clothes, books and shoes which is all for the British Heart Foundation
We also re-cycle our plant pots in the nursery, the oil used in cooking from the Alpine Restuarant is made into bio-fuel, the shop and restaurant is heated with log burners!
